سرود هستی خوانم در بر حور و ملک
در آسمانها غوغا فکنم
سبو بریزم ساغر شکنم
با ماه و پروین سخنی گویم
وز روی مه خود اثری جویم
جان یابم زین شب ها
می کاهم از غم ها
امشب یک سر شوق و شورم
از این عالم گویی دورم

يكی را به دريا به ماهی دهی
یکی را بر آری به تخت بلند
یکی را نشانی به خاک نژند
نه با آنت مهر و نه با اين كين
که به دان تویی ای جهان آفرين
بد و نیک هر دو ز یزدان بود
لب مرد باید که خندان بود
چنین است رسم سرای درشت
گهی پشت بر زین و گهی زین به پشت

One is raised to kingship and throne,
another to the sea with nets alone.
One is lifted high on a lofty seat,
another is cast to the dust beneath.
It is not love, nor is it spite,
but the hidden will of the Lord of light.
Both good and evil come from one decree,
so let the heart stay calm and free.
Such is the rule of this harsh domain:
one day on saddle, one day beneath the rein.
